Aaron R. White Shareholder
Aaron R. White is a Shareholder at BSC whose practice is concentrated in civil litigation and focuses on business litigation, including representation of private and public corporations, including land developers and construction contractors, international insurance and reinsurance companies, national retail corporations, and an international environmental services corporation. Aaron is a member of the firm's appellate law and professional practice groups. Aaron's civil litigation and arbitration experience includes matters involving insurance coverage, construction, employment, claims of libel and slander, corporate breach of contract, including consulting and management agreements, bad faith, legal malpractice, and real estate errors and omissions.
Aaron regularly provides his clients opinions regarding the applicability of insurance coverage to claims for defense and indemnification and suits involving construction defects, products, and professional and misconduct. Aaron also has represented numerous public companies against charges of employment discrimination and a private university against charges of admissions-based religious discrimination.
Aaron has trial and appellate experience in state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. He acted as trial counsel for domestic and foreign product manufacturers, construction companies, and insurance companies. Aaron recently successfully defended an international public insurer at trial against claims of libel, slander, and business-to-business breach of contract and bad faith, relating to the termination of a management consulting agreement with two directors. The trial court's decision was affirmed on appeal in Global Investors Agent Corporation v. National Fire Ins. Co. of Hartford, 76 Mass. App. Ct. 812 (2010), a case which also involved at issue waiver of the attorney-client privilege and reasonableness of attorney's fees.
Aaron also argued on behalf of an international insurer for the Supreme Judicial Court in John T. Callahan & Sons, Inc. v. Worcester Insurance Company, 453 Mass. 447 (2009).
Prior to joining BSC, Aaron worked as a summer law clerk during at the Colorado Supreme Court and is a legal intern with employment law counsel at the Stop and Shop Supermarket Companies, Inc.
Aaron received his juris doctor degree from Vermont Law School and was honored with the appointment as a board member for the Jessup International Moot Court. Aaron is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, cum laude, where he was a competitor and captain of the University of Massachusetts Alpine Men's Ski Team.
